We specialize in the research, development, and production of functional skincare ingredients, with a strong focus on licorice-derived actives. Our portfolio includes high-purity cosmetic actives such as Glabridin, Licochalcone A, Totarol, and Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate, widely applied in whitening, brighten even skin tone anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, repairing, and moisturizing formulations. 2008
Company Established
Shaanxi Huatai Bio-Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. was founded.
Founder Zhang Wei, a graduate of Lanzhou University School of Pharmacy and former Vice President of a listed company in Beijing, participated in drafting multiple national standards for the licorice industry.
2009
R&D Center Established
Independent R&D laboratory established in May.
Dr. Zhang, a former GSK Senior Technical Engineer, joined the team.
Focused on natural plant actives such as Glabridin.
2010
Team Expansion
Glabridin sales exceeded 100 units.
Production team expanded to 12 members.
Developed more than 10 cosmetic-grade ingredients.
Established diversified portfolio: licorice actives as the core, supported by other functional plant actives.
2012
Xi’an North Factory Launched
Xi’an North Factory began operation, covering 1,000㎡ with three complete production lines.
Formed strategic partnerships with the National Engineering Research Center for West Plant Chemistry and Northwest A&F University, and established a joint R&D laboratory.
2015
Relocation to Yangling
Factory relocated to Fuhai Industrial Park, Yangling Demonstration Zone, covering 4,000㎡ with 5 standardized production lines.
Certified ISO9001:2008 and GB/T19001-2008.
Established cooperation with Xi’an Jiaotong University’s School of Chemical Engineering.
Became a qualified supplier of Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate for Yunnan Baiyao toothpaste.
2016
Exclusive Agency
Introduced Totarol raw material from Mende Biotech Limited (New Zealand).
Became the exclusive agent in Mainland China.
Became supplier for Zhongshan (Hawley) Oral Care, providing Totarol for its mouthwash products.
2019
